Vlak na het incident had pitreporter Kalff een gesprekje met de teamdokter van Toyota. Die is samen met de mannen van BMW naar het medical centre gegaan, die heeft dus met eigen ogen de (eventuele) verwondingen gezien. Volgens die teamdokter niets ernstigs. Die teamdokter kent Kubica nog uit de tijd van de Formula Medicine (trainingsinstituut voor jonge piloten) uit Italië.
