Dus nog even afwachten of er daadwerkelijk een 147 S2000 komt.

Overigens vind ik het maar een rare strategie van Alfa. Eind vorig jaar was de 147 geen optie omdat dit model slechts tot en met 2007 gebouwd gaat worden. Nu heeft men ineens plannen om een 147 te ontwikkelen voor slechts 1 WTCC seizoen. Nadien zou de 149 aan de beurt zijn als racewagen.

Ach dit is gewoon een design studie voor de Parijse Auto Show. Je moet er verder niks achter zoeken. Het enige wat je hier volgens mij uit af kunt leiden is het feit dat Chevrolet nog steeds in WTCC geinteresseerd is.

Overigens is de titel van het Autoweek artikel lachwekkend:

De huidige coureurs zullen ook volgend jaar voor Chevrolet actief zijn in het WTCC.

Mwoah, ik denk dat onder de bodykit wel dergelijk de opvolger voor de Lacetti verborgen zit, en dat daar ook vast en zeker weer een WTCC versie van gaat komen.

de Villota (dochter van de grootsten taffeleer ooit in de F1) én Radermecker in Valencia met de Maurer Chevy's .
En ik gok op Giovanardi met Alfa nr.17 ... trouwens 147's in 2007 zou me verbazen, dan hadden ze er beter dit jaar al mee uitgepakt . De nieuwe Alfasud ... Mini-eater komt uit voor de 149 en zou wel 'ns dé verassing kunnen zijn alhoewel 3-deurs hoe zit dat met't reglement ?

De Focus was ook een 3-deurs als ik me niet vergis, en de Civic, dus dat zou moeten kunnen.

Peugeot heeft definitief afgehaakt volgens een bericht in de laatse Autosport van 21-09. Focus ligt volledig op het dieselke voor Le Mans.

de focussen van vorig jaar waren 5 deurs
er rijdt in hte stcc wel een s2000 astra gtc mee denk ik (en de gtc is de 3deurs) meschien dat afentoe uitzonderingen worden gemaakt..

Het 4/5 deurs vs 3 deurs verhaal blijf ik wazig vinden. In het S2000 technisch reglement vind ik niks terug over het aantal deuren (wel dat er 4 zitplaatsen moeten zijn). Volgens mij is 3 deurs binnen S2000 gewoon toegestaan maar heeft de WTCC organisatie (KSO) besloten dat het een 4 deurs sedan of 5 deurs hatchback moet zijn. Gentlemen agreement tussen KSO en fabrikanten? Peugeot heeft in eerste instantie met een 3 deurs hatchback gereden, maar is toen al snel overgestapt op de 5 deurs variant. Dus volgens mij heeft Peugeot tijdelijk dispensatie gekregen.

Renault is bezig met een haalbaarheids-studie voor 2008:
